Cheaha

2407 ft. above sea level. Overlook valley from park's
restaurant. Walk through garden, swim, hike Odum Scout Trail.

accommodations, group facilities.
Talladega National Forrest- covering about 220,000 acres in
Calhoun, Clay, Cleburne, and Talladega counties. Lake Chinnabee (no
swimming) and Coleman Lake ( closed in winter) offer electric motor boating
and fishing. A number of other lakes in the Forest offer additional
recreational activities. Fishing and game hunting are allowed. Camping areas
range from primitive to those with sanitary facilities and dumping stations.
A 7,500-acre designated wilderness area is located in the Talladega Ranger
District for campers seeking solitude and primitive, unconfined recreation.
The Pinhoti foot trail extends 100 miles through the Forest. Less
adventurous hikers may prefer shorter routes along the Odom and Chinnabee
Silent Scout Trails. Other trails are set aside for ORV (Off Road Vehicle)
enthusiasts and horseback riding. Don't miss a drive on the Talladega Scenic

Courthouse Built in 1906, the Clay County Courthouse is the highest
elevated courthouse in the state of Alabama. Located on the square in
Ashland, Alabama, it now houses the Hugo Black Museum.
