 Chief Ladiga Trail - Alabama's first extended Rails-to-Trails project offers thirty-three miles of paved recreational trail for the enjoyment of walkers, bikers, inline skaters and those who use strollers and wheelchairs. The trail connects and can be accessed at the municipalities of Piedmont, Jacksonville, Weaver, and Anniston. Seen along the way are beautiful wetlands, streams, forests, farmland, and a horizon filled with mountains. (256) 447-9007 or (256) 447-3363

Loyd Owens Canoe Trail some forty miles in length begins in north Cleburne County and meanders quietly down the Tallapoosa River and ends at Hollis Crossroads.

Pinhoti is Creek Indian for 'turkey home.' As you hike the 100-plus miles of the Pinhoti Trail, don't be surprised when wild turkey, deer and other wildlife cross your path.

In northeast Alabama, the Talladega Scenic Drive is the best and easiest way to view the area's natural beauty. The 26-mile drive travels along Horseblock and Cheaha mountains. The road has gentle slopes and curves for an unhurried drive. Overlook areas have sweeping views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

Lake Shore Trail is a two-mile nature trail around Lake Chinnabee in the Talladega National Forest-Talladega Division.

Cave Creek Trail, a four-mile trail in the Cheaha Wilderness Area located in the Talladega National Forest-Talladega Division.

Nubbin Creek Trail, a four-mile  trail which traverses the eastern slopes of Talladega Mountain in the Cheaha Wilderness Area.

Odum Traill is about 4.7 miles long in the Cheaha Wilderness and located in the Talladega National Forest-Talladega Division.

Skyway Loop Trail is a 6-mile trail provides wilderness-like solitude in the upland forests of eastern Alabama. Skyway Loop Trail is located in the Talladega National Forest - Talladega Division.
